Where ends patience - begins endurance

in #life8 years ago

Hello everyone! Today I thought about what patience is. Is this a sacrifice, that a person makes by giving up his desires and interests or a way of life? Which is better - to be silent and with no one to fight or to express dissatisfaction , trying to get out of the discomfort? I think, everyone has an opinion on this question. There are many sayings on this subject: patience is a weapon of the weakest and strongest (Leshek Kumor). Where ends patience - begins endurance (Daniel Ore).

For many, patience and silence are synonymous. Where is the boundary, where silence and patience go in our favor, and when harm? I believe, that silence is restrained emotions, they dig inside a person and sooner or later they will break out. And this will lead to more serious consequences, than if a person did not accumulate negative emotions inside. Although this breakthrough can be found and positive aspects. For example, the appearance of a sense of freedom, determination, inspiration, lightness and clarity in solving problems that seem previously insurmountable, dropping the stone from the soul. The point is that if the person just resigns himself to something, he just hides dissatisfaction, but does not solve the problem. The negative experience thus does not go anywhere. It remains in the subconscious. Perhaps it makes sense to replace patience with compromise. For example, if you don't like the music your loved ones are listening to, ask them to wear headphones. And such a way out can be found from any situation.

Nice write up. So true. I find myself enduring certain people and after a while, you do find ways to quash the things that bother you, negotiate them, or avoid the problem all together.

I agree with you! Thanks for comment!

There is a limit to everything, even patience. Sometimes compromise may be necessary, but it shouldn't come at the expense of ones happiness

You are right)

Well yeah you got a point. Good read @springmelody.

Thank you!

culturally and evolutionarily it is difficult for us to develop a patient, since from childhood we are not taught to postpone gratifications

This is the right thought! Thank you)
