Center yourself and be thankful
Sometimes it's necessary to stop, step back and center yourself.
Maybe our situations are so hard that it makes us hopeless and worried about our future, and we are tempted to believe that the right thing to do is just push the tempo, without allowing us a moment to evaluate and question the directions we are accepting. Maybe that's a mistake.
May it be that the most important manifestation of faith is the faith in our destiny, the touching feeling that makes us breath widely again and take a rest, although our surrounding world is screaming all the risks, dangers and difficulties now overfilling our lifes.
To stop allows us to see our situations without the lenses of fear, to mentally distance ourselves from the daily game so that we can watch the board, every move and piece involved in that game. That distance is precious, as it allows us to understand all the things we haven't lost yet, the opportunities that we can use to step above our sorrows and reach a better stage.
I am writing this meditation from a smartphone using @partiko for the first time, because my cousin, who is out of the country (as half of Venezuela's population) working hard, gave me the phone as a present so I can further my plans and connections with people.
For the majority of people here, the purchase of a smartphone is something far beyond their possibilities, as we spend almost every coin on food for our families. But those who fled the country are often in better conditions, and hence they can help their families from outside. We are not alone. We haven't lost everything. As long as there are good people that we can reach, opportunities for goodness and betterness still remain awaiting for us.
J. Peterson repeatedly speaks about the importance of being thankful for the things we still have, the little precious opportunities that bloom among our difficulties like a flower in the desert.

I think it's a very meaningful lesson, not only for the people in developed free countries, but also for those who suffer under the boots of tyrants.
But we need to stop in order to realize how many valuable chances surround us to love, to follow our wishes, to grow and enjoy life. So get on your path, and trust your destiny.

Another amazing piece of work @spirajn
Definetly being able to step aside and look at our own life and problems from the distance could help many. We're ending up so often being trapped within our little box and overwhelmed with life difficulties.
Upvote on the way.
Cheers

Thank you, my friend.
It's just like that. A calm mind sees better. The sign of a fanatic is exactly his blindness.
