Hello, @soyrosa. I am in the percentage of people who have not seen GOT. I admire people who have seen season after season, waiting for the appearance times. I confess that I would have despaired hahaha! I better hope it's over and I'll be ready to see it at some point. Enjoy, a hug for you.
Haha - yes, it's always a weird thought that you spend so much time spread over many years with a certain show and their characters! Some of them you really 'miss' after they're gone. Some of my favourite shows I enjoyed after a few years again - with the added bonus that you can watch all episodes without having to wait a week :D My experience is you often miss details when you watch over many years, and the strongest shows actually have many many references in their last seasons that refer back to the first seasons :-)

I'm sort of in between those who watch and those who don't @soyrosa . @winstonalden and I started watching it after a few seasons had begun because we were given HBO as a free promotion with our cable provider. So, we'd watch it together, like a little event. Though we normally don't watch any TV. We got into it a bit and then it went away, so I forgot about it.
I did some fun 'character versions' of the characters in animal forms and had a bit of success with it, but then the kept being taken down even though they were simple an homage to a character and they were made into a dog character, but whatever. I just was sick of that and then the show was off for awhile so, 'out of sight out of mind'
We don't currently have HBO anymore, so I'll probably only see the final season when and if we get HBO free again and then we'd probably watch a few seasons again before the final to really remember what is going on.
I'd say I feel out of the loop, but I'm always out of the pop culture loop so doesn't really bother me :)
I hope it really turns out to be the final season all the fans deserve, though isn't the author still writing books?

I hope I don't sound like the 'book guy' but after seeing season 1 I got hooked bad and promptly read the first 3 books of a Song of Ice and Fire as fast as I could. When I got to book 3 and I first read the red wedding in Storm of Swords it also turned my stomach and I remember feeling completely shocked and saddened. How could much death could one family take? Thanks for entering the contest, this is going to be fun!

I didn't start reading the books yet - never even thought I'd love the series as I'm not used to reading/watching fantasy. But I was enslaved to the series quickly and rewatched several seasons :-) I'm waiting to see if the book series ever will be finished before I start reading. Couldn't handle the open endings! It's amazing and exceptional how they make you love the characters deeply - which is why the sadness when some die is real!
