The most beautiful catholic church in Korea

in #culture7 years ago (edited)

It is said that the most beautiful catholic church is Kongseri church. I recommended my mom to visit Kongseri catholic church. Before I had finished my word, she said “OK”.

It took about 2 hours to the church by car. As soon as arriving, she ran to the church. Even she didn’t listen my word “let’s go together, I need to park”
I could only take a photo of her from behind.

I followed her. The scene to the church was beautiful.

Especially the tree in front of the church was excellent. People were resting there.

Finally Church.

My mom ran into the church for MASS

While waiting for her, I took several photos.

The church was really beautiful.
Let me show you the beauty of the church.

The church was really awesome.

I strongly recommend to visit Kongseri church.
Your religion is another matter in my guess.

When taking the photos, one question hit my head.
What make this church beautiful ?

The church ?
Yes, That’s right. The church was really awesome.
But if there wasn’t nature, the artificial thing was no matter.

Even though there is the most beautiful building, without Nature nothing is beautiful.

Thank you for reading.

I want to thank you for this lovely post. This is why I love Steemit. Because of you and others like you, we get to see amazing and interesting places that would not be possible for most of us to get to see in our lifetimes.
And you have done well. Very well, in fact. So much detail in what you have shown to us. You always try in your posts, to include as much about your subject as you can. Most of the questions are answered before they can originate. With your great photos and words, not much left to ask about.
Thank you again. For showing to all of us Steemians, what some of us have a longing for.
Harmony of nature and in this case, spiritual together.

Francis

Thank you for your warm word

@slowwalker
You are so kind. You make the world a much better place to live in. Especially for me.
I am humbled by your kindness.
Thank you

Francis

I'm for my friends, my dear ones, I pray to God.
Send them strength, good luck and health
And do not leave them at the most difficult hour.
Bless, and give love,
So that the smile does not come off the eyes.
That the house was a cup full and beautiful,
To avoid the clouds,
To the Motherland has always been beloved,
And friendship remained a road.
And let the friends are scattered around the world,
Everyone will find my prayer,
And entering the house like the first ray of dawn
With a blessed blessing will bring.

thank you :)

That church looks really great, I didn't even know there were big churches like this in Korea.

Another interesting post this is. I'm a minnow myself, and still checking out all the good stuff here on Steemit. It's all so interesting! Looking forward to interacting and posting a lot of cool, valuable stuff here.

I will be posting my 'IntroduceYourself' post shortly. Just waiting for my vid from Big Mike…(really excited!)

thank you
I am waiting for your posting

I call such places - places of spiritual power! Thank you for your interesting story
@slowwalker!

Nature, best spot to erect a church. I am a Catholic as well and would like to visit this churches and say some prayers. This is the Caleruega Church we visited last February when we went out of town.

Thank you so much

Great pictures @slowwalker, especially whenever you've been in Korea before and know how seldom such beautiful buildings are. Mostly you may find some modern or simple ones but those old beautiful buildings are really very rare.

Hahaha
It is not easy to find the beauty at any case

But it's as well not that hard in Korea in case you're not looking at old catholic churches in particular. I've been to Seoul & Busan for some weeks some time back and just loved it. Korea is really an awesome place in case you don't get too much Soju at once 😉

I like this post very much, my friend. I was so moved to see the fervent devotion of your mother hurrying to go inside the church.

You saw the beauty of the building, but you also saw the sacred nature of the surroundings.

I think the large tree outside the church was a symbol of endurance, like your mother's faith. As old as the church was, I think that tree was older. From the size of the trunk I think it was more than 200 yrs. old.

When I go out into the forest I feel I'm also in a sacred place - a green cathedral.

A lovely post, @slowwalker :)

Thank you so much
