The Hall for the King Who Built Yong Ju Sa Temple and Miscellanies
There was a special and unique hall in this temple. It was the hall for the King who built this temple. The name of the hall was ‘Ho Seong Jeon’, meaning of protecting holly person. Here ‘holly person’ seemed to mean King Jeong Jo and his Queen.
The inside of the hall was quite different from other halls of ordinary Buddhist temples.
There was a traditional Confucian alter instead Buddhist sculptures.
I’ve seen Confucian alters in the palace of Choson Dynasty, but the style in this temple was quite different.
Left and Right sides of the alter were filled with small lights which meant the dead.
In one words, Ho Seong Jeon was the space for the dead.
There was a Jijang jeon on the right side of Ho Seong Jeon. As referring several times, Jijang Jeon is the hall for praying for the dead.
The components of Jijang jeon was as same as others, but one thing impressive was the guarding warriors. It looked like the stone sculptures in Jeju island.
I took the pics of the warriors using the contrast of the sunlight.
@slowwalker, The Hall for the King in Yong Ju Sa Temple haven't see any Buddhism sculptures like other temple halls. But previous temples seen Kings and Buddhas sculptures. The king had cruel looks and he protected temple I think. You caught brilliant pictures using sunlight from different angles.

The style is very quite different again if you ask me really, the truth is that seeing the Jijang Jeon brought out a sacredness in me, however I looked at the face of the guard protecting the king and how the lights seems of the sun crossed it it was a beautiful shot

Great Post. You can shoot from the good angle Especially the guard which using contrast of sunlight. It can be interpret that he will keep and guard the temple, the king and his queen.
Thank you @slowwalker, you share valuable post
It is beautiful decorated place, very colorful and the warrior looks ready to protect those who inside of hall. The Artist who worked on the figure payed a great attention to the features of face, it is much we can read from expression of faces. Luckily everything is a very good condition :)
