My fitness journey in a few paragraphs

Every morning, I wake up smiling with confidence that I'll not miss the day's workout session.

Everyone at home prepares to leave for their different endeavors but me, obviously the most serious thing on my mind is my workout session in the morning.

Dear steemians, I want to share my experience of an intensive 2 days straight workout.


It wasn't all too easy the past two days. I just remembered two words which kept re-echoing my mind, consistency and consistency again. I wouldn't let tiredness and laziness win.

Ready on my sports wear, I stepped out those two days vibrant and unafraid.

Those two intensive days at the fitness center featured:

  • Work out session
  • Step board exercise
  • Tabatha
  • Coted'voire
  • Mat workout
  • Squats
  • Specific body toning
  • Tyre drill
  • Aerobics fun time
  • Stretches
    And much more….

Most exercises like the tyre drill and others are essential for upper body toning, improved waist flexibility, butt and glute toning, knee correction and general body Fitness.

My coach will always want you to keep going and to keep moving non stop. Feels like he never gets tired😂.

The tabata session is twice as fun as the coted'voire session. We exercise according to the beatings of the song we are listening to. The tabata session is done using a count down. When the exercise we do at a time becomes very strenuous, everyone will be waiting to hear “5.4.3.2.1 stop”. 😂

I believe exercising is actually supposed to be fun because the fun will make you enjoy it the most. And trust me, while exercising, we bring in all the fun you can think about.

We undergo varying exercises at a time. The step board looks not stressful at first but with time it gets tiring. I love step boards because they enhance flexibility and balance.

Squats is another wonderful exercise I love, we did this like 40 times. At the last 40 squats I couldn't feel my legs anymore 😭. My labs were literally shaking. My coach wouldn't let us sit at a place and rest. He'd prefer you walk around slowly to get your strength back. I must admit, that actually really helps. When I tried it, I could get back my strength gradually instead of just sitting in one place.


I never underestimate the power of water. The need to be hydrated regularly is not to be overemphasized. You need that fluid intake trust me. I drank water again and again several times because I was occasionally thirsty. Within a session, I might finish up to 1 liter of water. More of it is actually recommended. Apart from the purpose of dehydration, regular fluid intake during and after exercise helps in general body well being and proper function of organs like kidney, liver and the heart. I always go with my bottle of water to the fitness center.

Talking about aerobic fun time, it's usually indeed a fun time. During this time we carry out some fun activities like dance challenges, men versus women challenge, tiktoking and lots more. Everyone often looks forward to aerobic fun times and the good vibes there.


Stretches come after all the intensive exercise sessions. We stretch our necks, feet, arms, hands. We relieve our ribs and most times we take a deep breath in for a while before breathing out. This stretches is good for body relaxation at the end of a session.

Conclusively, I'll say staying fit has been one of my best decisions ever. Everyone should think about it, partake in one even if it's the simplest form of exercise. Stay fit and have a blessed week family.
