Feathered Friday Three Families of Goslings
Caught these cute Canadian geese families by the lake. Three different groups at varying ages were occupying the same space eating fresh grass. Towards the end of the video these guys were almost under my feet. The parents were threatening with hissing and head bops. Happy #featheredfriday

Such cute babies! I love the gangly guys whose heads are already turning black. They certainly reacted when that dog barked! I remember my grandmother being terrified of geese. She wouldn't get out of the car if they were near. !Tip
Some geese like to attack when they have babies. But these guys have little manmade islands on the lake and are used to humans. Black swans are notoriously mean.

There weren't many Canadian geese around here when I was a kid. It was farm geese that my grandmother was terrified of. Being a farm girl I'm assuming that she had had a run-in with them before.
I've had a run in with those guys attacking for food at a monastery i grew up near.

There's quite a few out this year, i saw a few batches at some other lakes as well. I even saw some wood ducks, maybe i'll post them for next feathered friday :-)
