Carry On?
It's hard to admit things to yourself sometimes.
But it's easy to get lost in yourself.
It's easy to get lost in someone else.
It's easy to get lost.
Amazing grace.
How sweet the sound.
I once was lost.
But am I found?
I thought I was...
I'd like to think...
But I'm not so sure,
And in this I sink.
Carry on, my wayward son,
There'll be peace,
When you are done.
Lay your weary head to rest.
And don't you cry no more.
The lyrics of life,
With their catchy hooks.
Contain all the wisdom,
Of all of the books.
The lessons we learn,
have been learned before.
It's the lessons we need,
that we tend to ignore.
You better lose yourself in the music,
the moment, You own it,
You better never let it go.
To survive and carry on,
Is to surrender to the rhythm
And not let it beat you down.
Just keep your heart beating.
Don't let yourself drown.
Never say never.
You can't count that high.
There is only this moment.
Just don't question why.
If you try to understand it,
Your frustrations will flare.
It's better to stand still.
And just pray to the air.
The word is about, there's something evolving,
whatever may come, the world keeps revolving
They say the next big thing is here,
that the revolution's near,
but to me it seems quite clear
that it's all just a little bit of history repeating.
It's all the same stories,
They are nothing new.
It's happened to others.
It's happened to you.
