HERGELECİ İBRAHİM PEHLİVAN
Hergeleci İbrahim Pehlivan; Osmanlı ‘nın son zamanlarında, cihan pehlivanları devrinde yaşamıştır onlarla başabaş güreşmiş bir büyük cihan pehlivanıdır.. Bu devirde gelmiş geçmiş en büyük pehlivanlar Kel Aliço, Koca Yusuf, Adalı Halil,Kurtdereli Mehmet gibi büyük pehlivanların hepsi en şaşaalı dönemlerini yaşıyorlardı.
Hepsi aşırı uzun ve heybetli olan bu pehlivanların yanında Hergeleci İbrahim küçük kalıyordu. Fakat aşırı kıvrak ve çok teknik bir güreşçiydi.Ondan güreş tarihinin en çok oyun bilen ve en teknik güreşçisi diye bahsederlerdi.
Gençlik yıllarında Koca Yusuf u Eyüp te yapılan bir güreşte bir kez yenmiş.Sonra Paris te Koca Yusuf la karşılaşmışlar. Güreş çok sert geçmiş polis korkarak güreşi ayırmak zorunda kalmış .Koca Yusuf un sırtına joplarla vurarak ayırmaya çalışmışlar. Hergeleci buna kızarak “bre siz bunu kadın oyunumu sandınız , bizim orda erkekler böyle güreşir “diyerek polislere kızmıştır.Adalı Halil’i ise çok teknik bir şekilde ne olduğunu anlamadan izleyenlerin hayret dolu bakışları arasında sırtını yere getirerek yenivermiştir . 1914 yılında Kırkpınar Başpehlevanı olmuştur. Gurur duyduğumuz büyük muhacir pehlivanlardandır. Allah rahmet eylesin mekânı Cennet olsun .
