1 Picture 1 Story Week #68
Hello guys,
I welcome you all to my blog today. It's another week, and I'm delighted to share my participation in the contest organized here in this community by @suboohi, which talks about 1 Picture 1 Story Week #68. This is always a nice contest which I love participating in.
This week, I want to focus my story on the Eggon Culture. The image above is all about the Eggon Culture and that is what we will be talking about today. It was the second day of new year and as the custom and tradition of the people demand another dance is to take place in a place called Angu-sabo.
For those who haven't read through my blog recently where I discussed the beauty of this culture, I will give a summary of it so that you can also be carried along as you read through my post today.
Eggon is one of the majority tribe in the whole of Nasarawa State Nigeria. Their custom and tradition demands that they have their traditional dances on special occasions such as Christmas and New year among others. This year wasn't an exception.
After the dance in the house of HEX on the first day of the year, an announcement was made that there will be another dance on the 2nd and 3rd respectively. So as at 2nd I decided to also go to the venue were the dance was to take place because I enjoy the drums and the enthusiasm which the people uses whenever they are dancing to this their cultural music.
Before reaching the venue I discovered that the crowd who came for the dance have already covered all the place but I needed to get a clean shot of those dancing because I know that a day like this will definitely come and I must have to write about the beautiful culture.
So today I present to you the people of Eggon and their beautiful dance culture. This dance whenever is taking place people come from far and near to share their dancing skill. I'm delighted to be an eye witness this time around and I really enjoy the program. So that is all about the image you have seen above.
If you wish to learn or know more about the Eggon Culture you can always contact me or ask your questions via the commentsection of this post so that others too can learn from it.
Finally, I wish to invite my friends @dove11, @solaymann, and @josepha to also join this contest today and share their own opinions about this wonderful topic.
