Favorite Christmas Themed Precious Metals
It is Christmas Eve! And what can be a better time to show two of my favorite Christmas themed rounds but today!
I don't think I have shown the first one here on steemit. [because really... stackers do not show all the precious metals they posses, ]😉
Vintage Sleigh Ride and Chickadee with Holly Silver Round
1 ozt, .999 fine silverThis silver round depicts a typical American winter sleigh ride scene and is most likely based on a well-known print lithograph popular in the 19th century made by Currier and Ives entitled "American Homestead Winter." It also shows the sociable bird Chickadee commonly found all over the United States flocking backyard feeders.
The Silver Bullet Silver Silver Shield Nativity Scene
Silver Bullet and Silver Shield rounds were first launched in September 2012. The obverse of this round is a simple Nativity Scene superimposed over the Star of David, with the Star of David at the top, the word "Peace" and the words "On Earth" at the bottom, with the Three Wise Men in the distance. The round was designed by Heidi Wastweet.

I have to say that I loved the intricate design of the first one, the sleigh and the bird. The other one is cleaner, and normally I do like the Silver Shield stuff, but not this time...
I love that one too, @bengy! It shows a classic American winter scene. The second depicts the reason for the season.

Nice ones. I ordered this years holiday one from them, but stupid me had a mini mintage on the order so it still hasn’t shipped yet. So much for that being a present.
I think that getting ourselves one Christmas round a year would make a great collection through the years. And in time, we can have a tiny Christmas Tree adorned with precious metals!!!

This will actually be my very first Christmas round ever. I’ve never bought one before, but liked this one.
