A Rare and Old Poured Silver Bar like no other
One of the highly desired types of poured silver is the "loaf" shape bar. Loaf-style bars are unusually thick and chunky with acutely rounded corners. The rounded corners give this bar the characteristic shape of a miniature loaf of bread.
The chunky style, rounded corners and irregular surfaces of the side of the bar make this bar viscerally attractive.
The finish of this old silver bar is beautifully patinaed from years of storage.
The back of the bar is subtly lustrous with bubble formations that gives this bar yet another unique character.
It is amazing how all the creases, folds and protrusions were created during the pouring and cooling process of the melted silver! These formations are so very unique only to this bar, and cannot be duplicated. This bar is packed with so much character that is difficult to attain in a tiny silver bar.

I find it incredible that this tiny bar has more character than the other bars I have that are larger in size. As my bestie @silverd510 said in his latest post, size of the bar doesn’t matter!

So cool to see this bar from all angles with these cool shots I liked you showed it with the others so we get an idea of its size I was wondering about that as I was scrolling down.

So... when I was taking the photos, I kept reminding myself that I should "frame" the bar in such a way that who ever looks at the bar will see the beauty of the bar as I am seeing. And gosh, I had to take many, many photos. And in choosing the photos to use for this article, my criteria was: is this good enough for me for the present time (because I really think that the photos can be much, much better).
So unlike my previous posts... I just take the photo then post them. Most of the time there is not much to "see" in the photos. I can be difficult with photos of silver and gold bars and rounds and coins.

you succeeded with these shots you really presented for all of us to see all the fine detail of the bar and the way they are composed draws our eyes in each shot to what you were explaining :)
Take photos of silver or gold is a challenge always because they are reflective so the lighting can be a challenge, a lot of the really amazing looking shots of items like this or jewelry are taken with a special lighting setup or a lightbox, it is not something i do often so I do not have either of those, so I just try to find the right sot with natural light
I will continue to challenge myself, and thanks for helping me, my friend! I love the photos of city reflections, especially the ground level reflections. Your photos bring to the forefront the fact that there is so much beauty in our surroundings that are missed because we aren’t looking. I am certainly more aware now. Thank you again!
