Honestly, it requires some courage to have such an eye contact with your food.

The Red Dragon Head is the highlight of our current menu at the Showroom Restaurant in Munich. You will be surprised how the final dish looks like.

The Scorpion Fish

Isn't this an extraordinarily beautiful species? 

The Red Dragon Head is part of the "Scorpion Fishes" which is a group of predatory, marine fishes that are mainly found amongst coral reefs and in shallow waters. 

It's oftenly related to the lionfish and usually found in the Indian and South Pacific Oceans. 

Having been recently awarded with a Michelin Star, it's our core business to discover hidden treasures like this one. 

Actually, it's one of the most exciting and interesting parts of the whole process: discovering the world through their culinary secrets. 

Then we bring these secrets home and prepare them for our local guests at the Showroom Restaurant in Munich. 

Our aim is a culinary show for all senses. 

Michelin Star Chef Dominik Käppeler | Backstage 

"We are not French, Italian, Nordic or Asian. We are the Showroom," Dominik Käppeler said.

Identity and consistency are the core values of the Showroom Restaurant. 

Therefore, the restaurant's menu (which changes every two weeks) is as diverse and seasonal as any food market in the world. Cooking with the best ingredients the current season has to offer, is the main principle.

Here is how the Red Dragon Head looks like after having passed through a Michelin Star Chef's hands.

Fish is among the healthiest foods of the planet.

It is loaded with important nutrients such as protein and vitamin D. Furthermore, it is the world's best source of omega-3 fatty acids. They are incredibly contributive for our body and brain functions. 

Therefore, we highly recommend to include fish in your weekly cooking plan. 

It doesn't have to be such an extravagant species like the one shown above. Visit your local food market or food supplier of confidence. The most important point is the quality.

So we rather shouldn't ask why healthy food is so expensive. We should ask why junk food is so cheap.

Is there such a secrecy in the Michelin world that we don't get a final recipe and preparation steps?? Pity, I just wanted to try to cook Dorada tonight...

We usually don't reveal recipes. However, this was our very first blog post and we are happy to receive some feedback. Perhaps we may change some of our beliefs along the way according to the expectations of the community. How was your fish?

My friend Dorada it's cheap and gorgeous with a slice of bacon in between. 20 minutes in the oven, squished that lemon and open two beers:
Romantic dinner for two, done!
(I am actually a half an hour chef believer: I am able to deliver a decent salad, a gorgeous roast and a home made dessert under 30 minutes... Just don't ask me to clean afterwords...)
