I wish you enough.

in #writing7 years ago (edited)

My review today is this poem I found on the Internet. The poem is called : I wish you enough.

I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright.
I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more.
I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive.
I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger.
I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.
I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.
I wish enough "Hello's" to get you through the final "Good-bye."

Conclusion:
I really like this poem and it’s message or meaning to me was that it takes some bad to enable you to appreciate the good. For example those whose cups have been dry and plates have been empty, appreciate a wet cup of water and a full plate of food, so much more then those who have always lived in abundance.

While I wish no one thirst and hunger, I hope we all get to meet, speak to and also to help people who are less fortunate then ourselves, because it is through viewing the needs of the less fortunate that those who have plenty can learn to appreciate what they have. I also hope it teaches those with plenty the importance of sharing their abundance with others.

My grandparents lived during the Great Depression in America and saw many people who were hungry, homeless and hopeless. My grandparents always said “it’s better to have and not need, then to need and not have”. “But if you have more then you need, be willing to share.”

They had all they needed and were very grateful, humble and generous people. They left their grandchildren many gifts, but this attitude towards life and others was one of the more valuable.

Hello @shortsegments.
I loved the poem.
I always think I have more than I need.
Although sometimes someone wants to convince me that I need more.
We always have a lot, but we don't value it when we look for and crave other things that we don't really need.
Happy life!

Hi Mariita!
I understand what your saying, I feel that way too.
I have begun to sell and give many things away because I have learned I don’t need my stuff. What I need is time. I have stopped trading my time for stuff and I have started trading my stuff for time. So far I feel I have gotten the better bargain.

Wow, that's inspiring.
Simply wonderful!
I think it is true freedom.
I wish you the best and many blessings.

Hi. I was able to upvote this post with my autovoter?

Cool. Thanks. My votes are very small now due to the new rewards curve. But you have my appreciation none the less.

.22 Pal is not bad. If would be even higher if you staked more of your Pal.

You like Partiko more than Palnet?

Thanks, I should check my vote amount on PAL more frequently. As for Partiko, I use it mainly for the points and try to use the points regularly. During last weekends blockchain stop I could still post on Partiko, but none of the other front ends worked for me.

How about you?

What can you do with the Partiko points?

When the Steem blockchain stalled out I found out about Palnet and started using it. I also finally learned about the Steem Exchange and put in my first order today.

Wow! I think it’s great that you used a moment of adversity to push the limits and discovered both Palnet and Steem-Engine. You took lemons and made lemonade. I look forward to your insights and observations about Steem-Engine. I think additional eyes are invaluable and you may see things I don’t see.

I guess Steemit is kind of about lemonaid making. lol I recently started doing autovoting, started using Palnet, Steem Engine, today I am attempting an SBD conversion and I might have to stop using bots. lol

I think I might have to be careful though. Overall I think Steemit has cost me a decent amount of money. :(

Hello, @shortsegments. This is a decent and very nice review of that poem. It reminded me of a lot of things. Hmmm, It really is nice. I am glad that you shared it alongside with your opinion.
I do have a suggestion though.

You mentioned that you found the poem online. I was hoping to see a link to the poem. Citation is very important and linking the original source of the poem at the beginning or the end of your review would not hurt. I am aware that the author is unknown, however, I believe that a link to the poem still can be found.
I really want to learn more about this poem. I appreciate the time you took to review it. Well done! I look forward to seeing your next awesome review.

Cheers!
