Steem Basic Income is a “bot”.
A “bot” is a automatic computer program that carries out a function or transaction.
You pay a fee to start the service.
It then upvotes a certain number of your posts, by a certain amount, which is dependent on how many shares you own or are given/gifted, and depending on how many posts you make per day or week.
You give this gift by paying a fee and buying one “share” of this program and the program makes sure that one or more posts per week get upvoted a certain amount.
The amount of the upvote depends on how many posts you write.
The great thing about this program is that when you buy a “share” for someone else you automatically get a “share” also.
You can also give two “shares” instead of getting a “share” yourself. This is a good way for community members to bond to each other or for leaders and founding members to make sure new members get paid.
