Diary: Kicked out of Voyagers Coffeeshop
Part 2 of my "Kicked-Out" series ;)
After getting kicked out of the Siberië coffeeshop last year which I covered here I got kicked out again. This time it's the Voyagers Coffeeshop where I sometimes go.
It was always nice to go there but I never went there regulary as you have to buy at least for 10 euro and the joints start from 5 Euro. Still, the place was OK, with a wide selection of bongs and laid back people.
It was around 12 o'clock and I was doing my normal thing. Singing a song, telling a joke and helping tourists. After being busy for 15 minutes I made some money and wanted to know how much the joints in the Voyagers cost and maybe buy one. I went inside with a smile but immediately the man who works there came from behind the counter and said that we would need to talk outside.
I agreed and joked that I would only parttake in case both of us would wear boxing gloves.
Outside he told me that he watched me a couple of minutes and that people complained about me. He then said that he will not serve me anymore. I told him that I experienced this before and that it's OK.
I then told him that I came only to ask for the prices of the joints and he said that they are 5 euros each. I said that they are too expensive for me anyway and that I want that he knows that I do not ask the people for money or weed but if they want to hear a song and then give me a donation. It didn't change his decission and I left.
What should I say? Where should I start?
No comment! I believe that everyone should make up his own opinion. This post is there to remind me to not go to the Voyagers Coffeeshop in Amsterdam anymore.

Pretty crappy situation, but tbh i upvoted primarily due to the akita pic.
It's Ok the situation, I am used to it. I primarily write to make money so I guess we meet in the middle and everything is fine.
That place sounds like a rip off anyways ! Screw them if they cant take a joke lol ! Just steem on and be happy some where else ! Haha !👍😂😊

The novelty of that place is that you can buy weed in the hostel itself. If you are looking for weed or hash, you are better off looking for places further out from the centre of town as far as price goes.
Amsterdam is not the best city for busking/begging... you'd have a lot more fun in other places in particular just not Amsterdam. Amsterdam is like a zone of not-the-same in the middle of a mostly more friendly Netherlands.
Even only as far as Amstelveen there is free coffee in the Albert Heijn supermarkets! It used to be like this in Amsterdam 10 years ago but now it's gone so super-carnival-tourist-city.
I kinda wish I had not chosen here to stop, I'd be in Arnhem, Eindhoven, Utrecht or Den Haag much preferably. But here I am, and I know the place pretty good so that balances out the irritations.
All my friends are here. I was also in Utrecht and Rotterdam but I need the high amount of ganja tourists to be happy. You are right, central Amsterdam is a humanitarian disaster. No begging, no sleeping, no sleeping in car, no basking in certain areas, one could think the new Hitler has arriven lol
