He Will Take Care of You

Give your burdens to the Lord and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall. Psalm 55:22

There are times when, like the psalmist, we feel pursued by the enemies or surrounded by difficulties. Our enemy may be financial trouble, ill health, or a person who misjudges or opposes us so that our "heart is in anguish" (v.4).

At that point we may be tempted to run away, retreat, or give up. But the Lord offers us something better. In this psalm, trials and problems cause us to cry out to him. Someone once said, "If you are swept off your feet, it's time to get on your knees."

God encourages us to turn to Him and call on Him in our distress so that He can rescue us and keep us safe in the midst of the trouble. He may not immediately take us out of the situation, but He will guide us through the circumstances. He gives us a wonderful promise: If we give our burdens to Him, He will take care of us and not allow us to slip and fall.

LORD, I give You every burden and concern I face today. And I thank You for Your promise of care, provision, and safety. You will not allow me to slip or fall. I will trust in You because You are faithful forever to those who love You. I consider it a joy and privilege to be counted among the many who love You. Thank You for the freedom to ask for and receive Your help. Amen. :-)❤️

Good Wednesday morning my dear sweet & grateful steemians & uloggers! I praise and thank God today, finally the rain had stopped pouring and I can see the sun coming out. I know today is another new day and new hope, new strength. Thank You Lord for this day. Indeed, today is a sunny day! Praise God! And we are still allowed to wear our ordinary clothes, no more uniform yet hehehe :D And of course classes in all levels are resumed today. Thank You Lord :-)❤️

This devotion is another encouragement from a good friend. All text messages especially like this one, a devotion, I copied it in my notebook. I used it as one of my devotional materials. The scripture tells us to give our burdens to the Lord and He will take care of us. I am so blessed by this timely reminder because I have been through a lot the past weeks and not to mention the weather. It made me feel so down and so low. But I thank and praise God for all my friends and family who have kept us in their prayers. I was able to go through tough times and, yes cold and stormy weather. Our house repairs have been one of the source for financial drain, aside from my daughters' payables, and the expenses here. The list could go on and I couldn't help but feel stressed out at times. "There are times when, like the psalmist, we feel pursued by the enemies or surrounded by difficulties. Our enemy may be financial trouble, ill health, or a person who misjudges or opposes us so that our "heart is in anguish" (v.4)." So my enemy is identified, its really financial trouble. And I received a hard blow from it. This made my heart turn into anguish. I easily get irritated and provoked. My eldest lovingly rebukes me and I praise God for her gentleness. She is modelling to me how to respond when enemy attacks. I must admit that she have matured in her Christian life and I'm so blessed to have her as my daughter. I'm super blessed to have them both :-)❤️

At that point, when the enemy (financial trouble) attacks and I'm full of payables, due dates, school fees and all and my heart is in anguish, I'm reminded of this "At that point we may be tempted to run away, retreat, or give up. So I cried and I pray to God, it's the only way to get up and move forward.
