Very nice image. It really needs to be viewed in another tab in the full resolution to get the whole effect. There is a lot of color to those stones and that mountain island in the background looks like it would be fun to explore. Nicely taken!
At first glance, I have thought of it as pile of bodies of dead animals but then I needed to have a closer view of it and it looked something else. The rock formation looks fantastic though. Cheers.
Looks like sandstone, lots of great tidal pools at low tide I'd bet!
On first look, I was sure I was looking at a pack of Walri there. (Plural, in my world, for Walrus'es). Very cool photo, even if not a pack of large, tusked mammalians.
