For this particular occasion I got to learn a little more about the traditional Japanese Kimono dress.

Kimono is the traditional Japanese term for the attire that is worn by men and women for a number of occasions. There are a number of styles available to the Kimono and each may be tailored for a suitable occasion. Typical events that a kimono is worn at includes festivals, formal events and other meetings with great importance. When seeing a person in a Kimono I can instantly tell that they were donning this grand attire with the intention of being somewhere important. Dressing for the occasion is common practice all over the world and I found the Kimono to be an interesting take on fashion and customs.
