Hard Times In Salida
Slow to Progress
Well, landing in Salida is both a blessing and a curse. The blessing being that the weather is tolerable here for the time being and there are these strange things called, "people". However, this time of year is when your open-minded youth start saving up all of their waiter/waitress money to get a home for the winter. Smart move on their part but, it doesn't help this artist prosper. I even lowered my prices to match the local median. Sigh... I made progress on this drawing at least.
Planning for the Future
While I have enjoyed my transient times here in Salida, they haven't been too prosperous. At least not in terms that I can finish preparing for the brutal winter that is sure to come. In my exploits I became aware of a town not far from here called, Crestone. Many of the locals here in Salida feel it is the natural move for me, for this town is teaming with spiritual, ayahuasca types that might really be into drawings of DMT Penis Gods. I might try to get into Crestone today. They have all the "bear" necessities.
Oh, I will miss you, Arkansas River. At least here you flow majestic and clean, unlike my home-town of cow shit, Syracuse, KS.
Much Love!
