Sometimes you have to pull some strings - Problem solving at its finest

My mind was occupied yesterday as I had a problem that needed to be solved! I was on a mission to solve this problem.

On an unrelated note, the crypto markets were bleeding red. Throughout the day I received text messages from friends saying,

Omg... total market cap is at $560b... what the #$%@ is happening?

$#%! dude... under $500b what the #$%@

Back to the story....

I am playing city league basketball with a few friends and our first game was last night. In a group chat we came to find out that we needed jerseys or individually numbered shirts of some sort. To say there was panic would be an understatement.

Options were thrown out such as buying a white t-shirt and writing the number on the back with a sharpie. Although this was an option, I had something else up my sleeve. I quickly texted my younger brother who plays high school basketball and one of my best friends, who coaches a high school basketball team nearby to see if they had extra jerseys that we could borrow.

Both came up empty..

Still on a mission to solve this problem I went by the largest team sports sporting good store in the area. They were extremely helpful, but did not have enough in stock to get us what we needed. They could order it, but it would take around a week to arrive.

Onto the next idea...

Being in the t-shirt industry as a hobby, I have built up quite a list of contacts in the local area. I dialed my most reliable source and he said they did not have enough in stock to help us out. I asked him if I found some shirts could he put some numbers on them for us. He responded that he could!

I drove to Academy Sporting Goods and found a table full of dri-fit t-shirts that would be perfect for what we were looking for. Now, we had to see what sizes they had available. I ended up finding this baby blue shirt that would be comfortable and would stand out against any other teams colors.

I called my guy at the print shop and he said that he would have them done in a few hours. I dropped off the shirts to him, we picked out a navy blue color for the front and the back and we were good to go.

Two hours later I received a call from him saying the shirts were done and I was good to go for pick up!

The shirts came out perfectly and they stood out in our game. Unfortunately, the shirts did not lead us to victory. This was one of the worst games we could have possibly played! At least next time we will be more prepared!!
