Short intro post about myself

Welcome Steemians!

I’m Mat (Mateusz), 25 years old entrepreneur from Poland. I feel really excited about joining the Steemit community and would like to introduce myself. Who am I?

General intro

I was born and grew up in quite small city (36k citizens) in the Lublin Province, East Poland. For 7 years, I live in Gdańsk (Danzig). I moved there to study at Gdańsk University of Technology. I see Gdańsk as the best city in the world and probably this is my place on the Earth 🙂

Business / Professional life

I started my professional career very quickly (at the age of 21). For several years I’ve worked for SAP corporation as business processes consultant. This is a great company with great people working there, but since very beginning of my professional work I aspired to have my own company, so in parallel I started to work with my buddies from university on our own business and financial freedom. Currently, I’m not regular employee anymore, I’m 100% focused on building my company. This journey, still ongoing, could be a topic of my planned posts 😉

To keep long story short – currently I work as CEO of Actum Lab company (https://actumlab.com). I am also the co-founder. We are making IT solutions using Computer Vision and Augmented Reality technology. Last time we have also released The arVerse Project (@arverse ) - I also work as CEO of that initiative.

Private

I live with my fiancée and cat in Danzig. Most of my time I’m spending at work, but when finally, I have some leisure, I practice tai chi, walk around the city and read books. Sometimes, I do some travel and play retro PC games (just a bit).

My contribution to Steemit

Generally, I’m not coming from the cryptocurrency's world. I read some articles about Bitcoin in 2010, but I was too stupid to understand the potential behind BTC idea and just forget about that. I woke up few years later, when BTC price grew up to around 1K USD and I started to passively watch what will happen further. When the 2017’s ICOs rush has started, I noticed several really dope projects. I started to dig deeper into technical aspects of blockchain. Very quickly, in my company, we figured out that marrying blockchain with Augmented Reality technology could resolve many issues with AR which we are struggling right now. Hence, we launched the arVerse initiative and finally I heard about Steem and Steemit. As I always wanted to share my thoughts with other people, this platform seems to be perfect place for me.

I see myself as kind of renaissance guy, with wide area of interest. Initially, I’m planning to post content (in both Polish and English) related with:

• Futurism

• Business / money / startup / financial freedom

• Augmented Reality

• Fantasy

• Books

• Retro games

• Other thoughts

But honestly speaking, it is all depend from you and what you would prefer to see and read! :)

I hope to find some valuable people in the community with whom I could share my experience and learn from each other. I also treat Steem as permanent and secure archive of my materials such as written content and photos/movies. Maybe someday my great-grandchildren would like to discover more about my person. I really believe that Steem blockchain will give them such opportunity.
