Good morning, my dear friends. While browsing steemit, I came across a competition called ‘What I have learned on steemt’ that was being hosted by the Steem-database community. This is my first entry into this community. @josepha I appreciate you arranging a contest with such a lovely theme.

Introduction

Steemit is a social media platform that empowers content creators by rewarding them with cryptocurrencies. In addition, steemit is a content-sharing platform similar to Reddit or Medium, powered by the blockchain. By reading and contributing articles to this useful website, a user who joins the Steemit platform may learn comprehensive knowledge. The user can learn new ideas, facts, and suggestions thanks to this platform. I can therefore definitely say that Steemit is an incredible guide for improving our knowledge.

When did you join Steemit, and what were your thoughts about Steemit before you joined?

I signed up for the Steemit platform on April 24, 2022. I had never heard of this before I joined this platform. However, I tried a lot of freelance websites to fill my free time and earn some extra cash.

What are the things you have learned so far about Steemit?

Steemit is a huge platform for learning new things. As there were members from various countries, I could learn about their culture, customs, food, and talent. Not only that, but we can find good friends both locally and overseas.

Who brought you into Steemit, and how was it when they were telling you about Steemit?

After several years of service with a respectable company in Sri Lanka, I retired. After I retired, I thought it was monotonous after one month. My sons tried to get me a job online to help me break free from this monotonous life. They made multiple profiles on other websites in order to work with me. But they all take pleasure in dumping the wood into waterways.

In the meantime, one of my son’s friends, Imantha informed me about the steemit platform. One day he visited my home and explained to me an overview of the platform's operation. That was @imanthadd who brought me to this platform. I must admit that Steemit has greatly assisted me in avoiding my monotonous life.

Have you educated people about Steemit before? What was it like?

Yes, I also introduced this platform to my siblings and friends. But because they are all working, nobody wants to use the platform.

If you were to give advice to a newbie just joining Steemit, what advice would you give to them?

I must urge newcomers to keep writing on this platform. Despite all the challenges, keep writing without using any plagiarized material. Additionally, make an effort to consistently post high-quality, well-written content. Additionally, encourage people to vote for the blog and comment on it as well as take part in the contest.

Conclusion

As a result, I can say that the Steemit platform serves as my classroom. I gained a lot of knowledge from this page. That website is used for hobbies in addition to producing money.
