My Longest Jog in Moscow

This was a frustrating run as my Garmin GPS signal kept cutting out, so it was a good job that I had the Strava app running on my phone. I've been finding it tough to do any running of substance - the air feels very thick, the sun is belting down, air pollution and bumpy roads are making it extremely difficult. On top of this, my knee is really bothering me, and It's very hard to find somewhere long or green enough to run. I didn't think Moscow could get any warmer but it has been over 30 degrees!

I was still able to get 6 miles in. The photo below looks not so bad for running, but it goes downhill for half a mile before looping back up. It's extremely bumpy in parts and there is too much air pollution. It's completely mind numbing to run in straight line circles for a lengthy period of time, but on a positive note, it's the longest distance I've ever ran in Moscow.

Once my knee is feeling better, I want to commute to the Luzhnetskaya embankment early in the mornings to do some jogging by the river below.

Injuries are so frustrating. Hope your knee feels better soon!

Thank you! :)

Thank you! :)

What on earth makes you do it @seanreilly. it sounds horrible, even without the fact that you are exercising! 😂

Haha! I haven't been able to run much at all in Moscow unfortunately. I've gone from 20-30 miles per week in Edinburgh to 5-10 in Moscow - this is mostly because of my knee though. My diet has been awful too! 😩

That's hilarious @seanreilly. GINA removes the hyphens so it says "I've gone from 2030 miles per week in Edinburgh to 510 in Moscow".

No wonder he's got bad knees I thought! 😂 😂 😂

That's funny! 😂
