I'm going to Malaysia!
Malaysia here I come! Although my vacations are normally very short I decided to spend my 1 week in Malaysia. Why? The people, the food, and the pools!
Next week this time I will be on my flight!
I have been on Steemit for more than a year now and so far from all the communities I have come across it looks like Malaysia is by far the friendliest. I have been to their Discord channel and have made quite a few Malaysian friends along the way. They always seem so chilled and down to earth. My kind of people.
Their meetups always look very casual and fun, something I am really looking forward to.

Nope, sadly even though I would love to take a break from Steemit during this time I know still have to be around to manage projects, update bots and get the daily posts out. Won't be around that much though, only logging in from my hotel to do the most important stuff. So I will be around, but only once a day.
What will I do?
Honestly, I want to take it as easy as possible: Swim, eat, meet a few steemians and then whatever activity we might feel like. I am not staying in Kuala Lumpur, trying to not be in the middle of the city. We are however not too far from KL, we will be staying in Cyberjaya.
The Pool!

Living in Korea it is extremely difficult to find a pool to relax in. Summer is simply too hot and to busy to find a pool where you can enjoy some peace and quiet. Really looking forward to it! I also need to teach a certain someone how to swim so what better place than here!?
The Food!
This might be one of the main reasons why I want to go to Malaysia. I live to eat, not live to eat. My taste buds are already watering and I can't wait to try some of their awesome dishes. I could be describing all the dishes I would like to try and even get some stock photos, but where is the fun in that? I will be using steem on my mobile and update regularly with short posts of all the awesome food I will be eating. =)

Really hope this week flies by, it should. Have a busy schedule at work with some Speech Contests going on. Hopefully, Friday arrives way sooner than expected =) Will be posting a lot when I am there. Expect a lot of food posts =)

Save up a bit and plan a vacation, we all need it from time to time, visit the cheaper places. =)
Yeah. I've been looking @scrooger but I don't want to go any where hot so that limits it as this time of year, unless I travel into the Southern hemisphere which is a bit pricey for me.
My partner is off kayaking next week. My daughter is off to France and my son is going back to college so that leaves me on my own in Brighton.
i might have a look again on Tuesday for a last minute break. i won't have time tomorrow.

Welcome, I'm sure you will fall in love with the culture there. Look out for your safety while you are on the street though. Peace!
Appreciate the tip, have no idea how the safety is there. I was used to looking over my shoulder when I lived in South Africa. After I moved to South Korea all my safety concerns vanished, will be sure to be careful. Thanks

Cool.. you're from Korea right?? Must be very hot there at this time of the year... I have been so busy with work and hope to not only see you guys but also Aaronleang & Zord and others... I used to see them almost on a weekly basis.. haha

Yeah.... I am from Canada where summer water is summer is still freezing cold.. so I know how you feel.. here, me and my friends would hang out in the pool and drink at 3am in the morning... hehehe

I’m flying to Portugal on Thursday for a little vacation of my own… The food, the people, the wine! ;) And maybe a little bit of ocean, too.
