Sun Kissed in the Snow
With the late snowfall this year I've had a chance to trek trough some amazing snowy places. Cathedral Grove in McMillian National Park is home to some of the largest and oldest trees on Vancouver Island.
There are many species of trees within the park but visitors come to see the giants. The ancient Douglas firs. The biggest trees in the Grove are about 800 years old and measure 75 m (250 ft) in height and 9 m (29 ft) in circumference. They are the survivors of a forest fire that ravaged the area 350 years ago.
I'll be writing a a full post about the adventures I had in the grove later this week. Walking among the Giants.

Looks so fascinating man. And from 350 years they are still standing so tall and firm.... I mean i was thinking I'm done with this life at the age of 22, looks like i found my perfect motivation. These trees might have gone through much more worse than i'd probably even think about.
