Questions, Feedback, & Recommendations On Steemit & Steem.jpg

Hey everyone,

So I'm going to be going through different questions, recommendations, and feedback about Steem and Steemit with someone from the Steemit staff soon and we want to cover and go through your questions, recommendations, and feedback to answer the questions people have and work through their theoretical solutions as to why they would or wouldn't be possible. It would be awesome if you could share that in the comments below and I'll refer to you in the video when going over your response. I've already gotten many responses which I will go back to and record to share them in the video discussion. Let's get involved!

We will cover as much as we can, but please be civil with your response. Overtly hostile responses won't be considered for this.

Make your mark on Steem! Thanks for your help :)

Some examples:

• What makes Steemit better than platforms such as Medium besides being rewarded for creating content? - @daviddhannoo (Minds)

• Why isn’t Steemit doing more about plagiarism or spam on their platform? - @nonamesleftouse (Steemit)

• Would it be possible to work with curation guilds on Steem to share trending posts?

• Does Steemit plan to do something to combat bid bots? - @midlet (Steemit)

• I want to see a road-map of Steemit and Steem blockchain in general - @ronel (Steemit)

• Many people just rely on whale votes to earn Steem. Is there a way around this? - @i3utm (Minds)

Please leave your thoughts and responses in the comments below.

A few questions:

  1. Is there a good reason why Steemit Inc are reluctant to market the Blockchain perhaps some sort of reluctance to “shill” or market the chain because of SEC or something ? (Or is the hesitance /reluctance to invest in marketing and events purely from a financial perspective)?
  2. Is there a timetable on next steps on hf21 so there is less uncertainty?
  3. Have they ever done exit interviews on prominent Steem users powering down and leaving- to help them understand retention issues?

Elizabeth Powell who is the managing director said that given they laid off 70% of their staff they haven't been going to conferences etc. until they stabilize their company and get back on track financially. That's for question 1. Regardless though I appreciate the questions, I will absolutely include these :)

There was not much visibility of marketing in 2018 either so I wonder if there is some reluctance in additional to financial resources.

Yeah it's a fair question I will include it

They know what need to be done in the first place! You know already that information if you really active here...

Just check what people complain around. ;)

I'm taking specific questions submitted to answered. Some of that was already shared above. If you have something you'd like to see discussed or answered please share. They said they are fine with answering the tough questions
