Sun Thursday - A Manhattan Beach Sunset
Yesterday I had meetings all day that ended around 5:45pm. As luck would have it, I was on the west side of Los Angeles near LAX. Since I knew I'd be there, I brought my camera equipment with me for a sunset at the beach. I was on the fence about where to and ultimately I decided on the Manhattan Beach Pier because it was the easiest to get to with limited time. This was definitely a great way to see a different sunset than I normally do in Hollywood. There will be plenty more photos from here coming in the next few days!
Thanks to @uwelang for creating #sunthursday and a huge thanks to @lizanomadsoul for her renewed commitment to curating #sunthursday!
wow! what a great view
I really like your picture @schmidthappens 📷 On which you show us the view of the coast, the beach, the ocean and the sun slowly hiding behind the horizon... 🌊🌅 Wonderful! 👌

Great shot!! @schmidthappens
great sunset
The photography is nice and the scenery is beautiful, I like it. Have a nice day.
Stunning as always dude! Not a bad way to end a long day!
Thanks! Honestly, this little side trip was partly inspired by traffic. Trying to cross the city at 6pm is so much more difficult than at 8pm, so I thought this was a better use of my time than sitting in traffic.
Haha sounds like a pretty solid plan! Fortunately we rarely have to go out during rush hour but every time I do I'm surprised at just how slow things move. You'd think I'd have learned by now, but it never ceases to amaze me!
Great capture. I think all those L.A. piers are very photogenic, especially before/during sunset. Looking forward to your Sunday golden hour entry :)
Thanks! I do love the piers here in LA, but if I'm being honest, it was a pretty mediocre sunset. Or maybe I'm just spoiled and know I've seen much better here!
