Shadow Photo Contest #15 (Water Shadows) - Hermosa Pier, CA

Even though I haven't contributed in awhile, I've always been a big fan of the Weekly Shadows Contest created and curated by @melinda010100. Each week is a different theme, all involving shadows. To see this week's theme and entries or if you want to submit a photo yourself, you can go here.

This week's theme is water shadows, meaning a shadow cast across water. But, just to be clear, this doesn't mean a reflection in water, but rather a shadow. This one was a little tricky, but like most people, I have plenty of reflection photography. But then, I realized I had a few decent shadows from my visit to Hermosa Pier on Christmas Day. As you can see in the photo, the beams of the pier cast a shadow on the water and beach below.
