Developing the ingenuity of children | Knowing our planet

Hello, dear family Steemit! Welcome to our virtual classroom, as in ancient times they had no means to observe the universe, it was thought that the earth was flat. However, the earth is spherical, shaped like a ball, although a little flattened. The ends where the earth is crushed are; in the north and south poles. This beautiful day I bring you a very important content for the development of any child. So I invite you to enjoy this class where we can clarify questions and doubts in children about our planet earth.

..........................................................................................................................................

In 1961 the Russian cosmonaut named Yuri Gagarin, became the man, in seeing for the first time, the Earth from space. Describing how;
"From space I contemplated a beautiful view of the Earth, which had a beautiful blue halo very visible, it went from pale blue to blue, dark blue, violet to absolute black, it was a magnificent picture".
The earth has 510 million kilometers of surface and the length of its radius oscillates between 6357 km (polar radius) and 6378 km (equatorial radius).

Why does the earth look like a fruit?

The earth has a crust that would be the skin of the fruit, a mantle that would be the edible part, and a nucleus similar to the seed of a fruit. We live in the cortex. In the interior of the earth it is very hot and the closer we get to the nucleus the temperature increases.

Why is the earth blue?

The earth from space presents a blue color, due to the refraction of light in its atmosphere. If we divided the earth into ten parts, seven (7) of them would be water and the three (3) remaining earth.

The planet blue

The water of the earth is concentrated in oceans. You exist four oceans; Pacific, Atlantic, Indigo and Arctic. The Pacific Ocean is the largest and deepest, in which lies the Las Marianas Trench, which is 11,000 meters deep! By the action of the sun's rays, the waters of the oceans evaporate, forming clouds and then rain. The rainwater is collected by the rivers that, as you know, flow into the oceans. So, do not worry, the water in the oceans is never going to run out.

The earth is surrounded by a layer of air. This layer is called the atmosphere and protects us from heat and sunlight.

Movements of the earth

Surely this is going to be strange to you, but the earth moves! This is called the rotation movement. The Earth rotates on an imaginary axis and it takes 24 hours to take a full turn, that is, one day. Imagine that you can pass a ball through the center from top to bottom with a needle, as if it were an axis. The ball can turn on itself. Well the same happens with. The earth also makes a movement of translation, around the sun and takes 365 days, that is, one year.

Why are we talking about imaginary lines?

To be able to locate on our planet, imaginary lines have been drawn to locate the different places on Earth; The meridians, which connect the North Pole with the South Pole, and the parallels, which surround the earth. Ecuador is the most important parallel because it divides the land into two parts; Northern Hemisphere and Southern Hemisphere. In the Northern Hemisphere are the Tropic of Cancer and the Arctic Circle parallel to the Equator. And, in the South are the Tropic of Capricorn and the Antarctic Circle.

Is the earth a puzzle? Origin of the continents.

According to the theories of geologists, millions of years ago the whole earth formed a great block. This block was breaking into various pieces to form the continents. So, if you look closely at a map of the world, it seems that the continents can fit one another as if they were part of a huge puzzle, those continents that we know today are Europe, Asia, Africa, America and Oceania; in them we live human beings. There is also Antarctica, in the South Pole, which is always covered with ice and in which very few people live.

..........................................................................................................................................

What are the coldest regions?

Around the North Pole we have; Greenland and Alaska. While, in the South Pole is Antarctica. The lowest recorded temperature was -89.2 ° C. In Antarctica.

Which are the most humid countries?

  • Colombia in South America.
  • Malaysia in Asia.
  • Sierra Leone in Africa.

Which is the driest?

The driest country is Egypt, but in Chile, in the Atacama desert, it did not rain for 400 years.

And the hottest?

Mali, Burkina Fasso and everyone in Africa. The highest temperature taken in the shade occurred in the Sahara desert 1922 at 58 ° C.

There is a kind of mountains that at the top have a deep hole. They are volcanoes and, sometimes, they produce explosions. When this happens, the mouths of the volcanoes start to see pieces of rock and also rivers of game called magma.

How are the mountains born?

Mountains arise when the movements of the earth's crust cause the rocks to unfold or even collide with two blocks of earth. The mountains are grouped in the Himalayas, in Asia it is the largest of all and has the highest mountain in the world; Mount Everest, 8,848 meters.

..........................................................................................................................................

CONCLUSION

  • Earth is the third planet in the Solar System and is the only one that, until now, has allowed the development of life. The scientific advances made it possible to fully demonstrate that the earth presents a spherical shape, somewhat bulky in the equatorial zone and flattened at the poles.
  • The earth makes two important movements as the components of our galaxy expand. At the same time that it revolves on its own axis, the earth moves describing an orbit around the sun. The first movement is called rotation and the second is called translation.

A very educational post, even I learned a couple of things and I love learning.

perfect to sit down your kids to read this!

Great information @saracampero, thank you for sharing this material and for promoting children's education. I bless your work and your family.

Thank you for your support, bless us all. Amen!

Great work girl, you said very interesting things, that you did not know. Congratulations @saracampero, your publications are always the maximum.

Thank you friend for your valuable support. Blessings

He encontrado tu post muy educativo, no sabía tantas cosas sobre la Tierra. De pequeño quería ser astrónomo, pero las circunstancias de la vida no me los permitieron.

Congratulations! this post got an upvote by @steemrepo and was manually picked by the curator @gamsam to be added on STEEM REPOSITORY, simply comment "YES" and we upload it on STEEM REPO Website.

Hi girl, I like what you do, your classes are wonderful. Best wishes to you @saracampero.

Thanks for your great visit girl. Greetings.

Fostering in young children global awareness and holistic understanding of our beautiful planet and its processes is a very important task. We need a new generation of enlightened and empowered global citizens who will thing in terms of all humanity and all life on Earth, and not just some tiny part of it, whether a nation, a country, a species, or a religion.

Oh, and thank you for mentioning Yuri Gagarin! He’s always been a hero of mine. :))

Thank you for your visits and your valuable words. God bless you dear @ oleg326756
