Wise advice. I am following it right now on a post I made pointing out that more than half of new members are coming from a few very poor countries. It's as though merely pointing out the obvious is somehow insulting to some people.
I am simply choosing not to even reply to those taking offense who really have no reason to be offended. I couldn't have written the post, IMHO, any less offensively than I did. And, it's obvious some haven't even read it (or understood it) and yet choose to be offended.
Also, with some already running around calling Steemit a scam, the perception can only be strengthened by not dealing with our lack of ability to recruit so well from other areas as from these poorest of nations.
I am no longer pushing back against those who do not even want to discuss the effect of this on our perception (fairly or unfairly) among the writers/pundits in the crypto world. As my mother used to say in this same vein, "If you have nothing good to say, say nothing."
Many people are addicted to drama seeking. Any chance they get...

Funny, those words your mother used to say are the same ones I say to Sabrina very often. Unfortunately for her, her mother is a drama seeker and she has picked up a few bad habits. Though it is certainly teaching me a thing or two about patience ;)
"addicted to drama"...oh my! Never thought of it that way, but how right that is! It seems to be only thing bringing value, attention and "interestingness" to their day.
There is a simple explanation behind the addiction. It's all about the neural pathways.
