Beach Wednesday on a Thursday!steemCreated with Sketch.

Sorry for being a day late with this weekly theme, but I have a load of glorious beach shots I would love to share with you all :)

And sometimes life is a little too busy to be able to stick to the rules!

I recently photographed this beach in North Maluku, Indonesia. On the Widi Islands. Very isolated. Nature at its best.

If you ever get a chance you much go there.

There are few places left like this in the world.

This one is a shot of my partner Sabrina on Komune Beach, Bali, last year, holding our son Esteban against her chest in the 'manduka' :)

Hey take me there!!

When are we leaving? :)

Is the 1st picture edited? What did you use to edit your photos?

Hey, they are both edited. I use a technique called HDR. Read more about it in this post from a few months ago if you are interested...

Nicely done. Looks so natural

Thanks. It was a truly magnificent area. Here's one I shot at sunrise

So this is purely done by the HDR software, no touching in the image?

No extra touching. Just the combination of three different exposures.

Can this be done with photo captured by phone? Hope this is not a stupid question :)

Not at all a stupid question. There is an HDR function within modern iphones but the quality will never be as good as these. The trick is to shoot on a tripod with a pro camera and make sure each of your three shots covers the full exposure range of the view. Then mix them together to create one. Photomatix has a free trail version to do the mixing, but they put a watermark on your final image. Unless you pay for the pro version. There may be other new progs I don't know about now. But, it is a truly awesome and relatively unknown style of photography. More similar to what we see with our eyes... so they say!

You are really good!

Nice. the HDR effect looks good

It is my fave effect of all :) It's like another world to me...

Wonderful post:) Thanks for sharing!

My pleasure. Many thanks for the lovely comment :)

You're welcome :)

It was even more magic to actually be there! The Widi Islands are like a paradise, still undiscovered by the modern world. Only a few fishermen go there. One day I hope to return.

Thanks for the comment :)

you are welcome!!! wish you to return :)

Love your headline: "Traveling the world in search of truth & beauty"- This really is beauty! Thanks for following! Following back :) It is still #sunthursday though ;)

Thanks very much for the comment my friend :)

I will never stop traveling and I will never stop finding beauty!

The truth seems to come as a side effect of the traveling. I have learned so much since I set off from my London life four years ago.

Thanks for the follow too. I will follow you back :)

....Ah! I just realised I already am following you! haha :)

Maybe we meet up some time, somewhere ;) what are your travel plans?

I think we will stay in Asia for another few years. Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Philippines.... there are many places on my list :)

Who knows after that? Perhaps the great American road trip.... I have always wanted to do that :)

Sounds perfect! Let me know when I am close to you and we meet up :)

Right now in Mexico, but I will start my world travel soon.

Awesome. Good for you! It will change your entire perspective of 'reality' for the journey has many lessons to teach.

Mexico is on our list too. Perhaps we will buy a camper van in Canada and drive south past Mexico and on to Peru. You gotta plan big right ;)
