Looking The Other Way

There are sometimes you need to let things slide, not because you are weak to handle them, but because the outcome may not be what you may need at that point. This is why it is advisable that; if you can't handle the outcome of a thing, then it is pointless giving it a try in the first place. For example: Winning an argument is good; no doubt; but doing so at the cost of friendship is pointless. Sometimes, you need to lose an argument so as to win a friend.

The truth is; you do not have to be right at everything at all times. A time will come when you will be placed at the point where you will have to make a choice between being right and being happy. At that point, you will understand that happiness supersedes being right.

Some wars are fought and won on the platform of "agreeing to disagree". Can I tell you this? Losing a combat but winning a war is far better than attempting to win a war by all means and in the process, hampering your humanity.

Sometimes, being right and being kind occur in a mutually exclusive manner and are inversely proportional to each other. What this means is that, the occurence of your "being right" can negate the occurence of your "being kind". When you find yourself in a point where you have to make a quick decision between being kind or being right, what will your decision be? At that point, you will agree with me that the occurence of one may strongly negate the occurence of the other.

If being right will cost you your kindness, then you need to think again and choose kindness. The world will not remember you for how many times you were right but the level of your kindness towards the course of humanity. That means, your posterity does not lie in being right but in being kind.

There is no amount of evil that can be done to repay another evil which will automatically make it good. This is why you do not have to do evil to repay evil - because the war against evil cannot be won with evil but with good.
