Initiating a Solution Wherever You Are

The value that you create in the place you are is what makes you relevant. You will agree with me that the problems and challenges of the world is on the increase, so the world will seek after the person that will provide viable solution to the challenges. Relevance is neither gifted nor bought, you have to earn it by adding value. This is the reason the person that knows something will always be preferred and celebrated over the person that does not. It is not enough to be part of the system, but are you contributing towards the growth of the system?

Without adding value to where you are, it will not be long and you will lose relevance and not just that, you may not access the next level. So you have to work on yourself, invest in yourself, build up yourself to add more value to yourself. There is no amount of investment you put into yourself that will be a waste because it will keep increasing your worth and will ultimately increase your relevance. The impact you make in this world is basically measured by the solution you were able to create. When you have gone, you are remembered, not because you were part of the system but because you created an impact in the system.

If you take a look at the people that have engraved their names on the sands of time, you will discover that they are the people that created impact in their lifetime and have provided solution to the problems facing humanity. Take this instance; in the area of transportation, before the advent of airplanes, going on long journey by other means posed a great challenge and a solution was sought out for. Then came the Wright brothers (Orville and Wilbur) and they were able to proffer the needed solution with their invention of airplane. Now, they have engraved their names on the sands of time and there is nowhere you will tell the history of airplane without mentioning them.

The truth is that only ignorant people will wish for challenges not to come. What wise and mature people do is to leverage on the challenges, proffer the solutions, then become more relevant. So while others are seeing challenges as a stumbling block that is out to impede their advancement, people that are set to increase their relevance see it as a stepping stone that will propel them to greatness. If challenges are nonexistent, then solutions will not exist too and relevance will just be an illusion. So you should actually be happy for the existence of challenges because that is an avenue to add value by providing the solutions, then becoming relevant.

There are lots of people that are busy chasing after money and fame but they do not realise that it is better to pursue after providing solution. When you focus more on providing solution, the money and fame that you would have chased after will begin to chase after you. Success and achievement comes principally as a result of being a solution provider. Staying without providing solution will make your overall value to drop and before you know it, they will begin to see you as replaceable, dispensable and expendable. In a company for example, no management will want to sack a staff that is adding value or the staff that is the pillar of the company. Even even if they want to downsize, they will look for the ones that are dormant to begin with.

As the day goes by, the competition in the world becomes increasingly fierce and for you to have a considerable edge over your competitors, you have to do something uniquely different, so as to make your value to increase. Many people are seeking for opportunities to become great but the opportunities are already flying over them in form of challenges. What you need to do is to take advantage of the challenges and turn them to your allies by preferring solutions to them. Right from where you are, there are problems you can solve; your opportunities for greatness lie in them.
