This is why Steemit Shattered my Dreams!
A friend of mine from a forum got me to Join this community, after much talk with him I was excited to join the Steemit community, I told myself that I will drop all my other Online marketing projects and focus on Steemit, he told me quality content was Key and that I must join all the Facebook groups and other groups also to interact with the community at large, Very Exciting to make money while blogging hey! Well I did everything he said I must, started dedicating everyday and all day to Steemit, I SPEND ROUGHLY 15 HOURS EVERYDAY ON STEEMIT, most of my time is spent upvoting good content, reading peoples content, going through peoples Profiles and studying what makes them successful.
Well you can say I am obsessed, well I usually get Obsesses when I wana be good at something, the deeper I got in my research the more I realized that it won’t be possible to be successful in Steemit and now I feel that my heart is completely shattered and all my dreams have yet once again gone down the drain and I left all my internet marketing stuff to join Steemit but got a big fat slap on the face. I met a few great people on a very small facebook group, the group has about 15 people and everyone there posts atleast 1 quality article a day, and all these guys are fairly small on Steemit and they don’t get a good following, even though they dedicate so much of they time daily to post quality content, this really broke my heart a lot. Here is why I won’t be succesful on Steemit:
1. All the Succesful Steemit Users are a Part of a group where they upvote each others posts and usually members of those groups have been on steemit since 2016 and they have became whales, they joined the platform when it was easy to grow and became a whale so now they have manipulated it in a way where it will be only profitable to them and for us small time users its almost impossible to be succesful “were Chasing Fools Gold”.
2. Whales don’t have time to Read Comment, they are too busy upvoting comments of other whales, so even if you only post quality posts you will never grow or be accepte in the community because whales don’t have time to read your content, they are too busy manipulatin the platform and making tons of money in the process. E.g @sweetsssj @jerrybanfield
3. Yesterday I stumbled on a group of guys from China, well I did it by mistake, I notices that there were new accounts that just blow up from the blue then I realized when I saw whose upvoting those guys are the exact same people, then as I went deeper in my research I saw that it’s a group from China and they have some sort of system. These groups are all over.
4. This Article https://steemit.com/video/@masteryoda/360-or-nasa-s-curiosity-mars-rover-at-namib-dune made over $2k and had over 200 upvoted but only 8 people actually viewed this article. HOW DOES THAT WORK????????!!!!!
@ned Im sure when you guys created Steemit your vision for it was probably pure but I gues it has many holes in the system and hopefully something will be done soon, im guesing the system was initially based on quality of content and providing a platform that is based on quality and nothing less and I gues a few guys learnt how to manipulate the whole system in favour of them.
and I feel Sad that I have come to this discovery, my heart is really painful because I believed in Steemit so much that I dropped all my other stuff and decided to dedicate all my time to this platform only to discover This, I feel like I let myself down, I should have been wiser, I wasn’t making much with internet marketing, I was making $250 a month but that helped a lot with things at home, and some went to my moms medical bills, anyway I wont quit Just as yet, but my heart is very painful to say the least.

It doesn't quite ring with me how you have come to such conclusions so fast. I suggest you spend a year on Steem as much as you do on one other platform (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram). Then compare what the platforms have brought you.

Based on how much you have written so far, I have no idea why you had to give up "Internet Marketing" to focus on SteemIt.
There are many young accounts doing well, and many minnow groups helping them.

I stopped IM because i believed in steemit so much, still kind of do and felt that i should stop and focus all my energy on steemit...80% of the succesful young accounts are directly affiliated with whales.

Brother Sam @sam19 - I feel the pain of what you speak of but can only offer my perspective as a "new" tiny minnow who's only been on Steemit just over 60 days...
If you really are spending 15 hours a day on Steemit (as I too average most days!) then you too
will have over 500 followers in 90 days ! You need to average 25 comments per day and maybe
throw out at least one semi-interesting topic with supporting photos every week or so. That's it - give it a chance man (and you may be getting flagged for using that introduceyourself tag repeatedly - just trying to help). Also, the whale who helped me the most is @sykochica, she is very nice and accessible and has very helpful posts. Hope some of this helps you keep the Steemit faith - this platform will have millions of users who come after you, just think of the potential if you F.I.R.E. it Up proper now and focus on personal efforts, goals rather than those who came before, gambled, and have been successful.

hey bro, firstly i would like to say thank you for taking the time to comment on this post, i humbly apreciate it fully, secondly i would like to say that your comment hasnt only been helpful but also comforting at the same time, so again i just wana say thank you.. You mentione Followers, and number of followers, steemit is not really about the number of people following you, i know a girl with like 1k followers but makes pennies for her posts and shes always posting quality content, this breaks my heart, i have 10 times less followers than you but i make the same as you per post... i wish people can just stop bashing me, take time to read my full post and all my comments and actualy try to understand what im saying instead of commenting... ive noticed in life people always try to defend something that they directly benifit from, whether its monetary benifit or spiritual or whatever, even when they argument doesnt really make sense they will try to protect it some way, they wont even try to analyse the counter argument and try to understand what the other person is saying

I think you must also remember that all those whales you refer to have been on Steemit for a lot longer than 17 days! Also they have invested real money into Steemit too before it was even popular.
You should not have dropped everything for Steemit, it is a social media platform with the potential to earn...there are no guarantees of rewards just a possibility of them.
If you can show me something (legal) that will make me a lot of money/cyber currency in just 17 days let me know about it please (deliberate sarchasm dropped in there).
Also I see you have been caught out using introduceyourself tag too much, maybe you p!ssed members off with that. It's only meant for one use.
