Is Knowledge Power?

Happy Eid Mubarak. I will be starting my day in steemit with this contest about knowledge and am just here to say my point on view on the topic. Every year we all hear the world knowledge, it is very rare to stay one full year without hearing the word KNOWLEDGE. Thank you @sahmie for creating this contest.

Knowledge is my understanding means AWARENESS, it is the awareness of a situation or a particular thing that revolves around us. Everyone have a knowledge about one or two things. There are things am aware of that you aren't aware of and there are things you are aware of that am not.

Information comes after knowledge so when we have gotten an information about something we have gained awareness. Knowledge help people achieve their goals because it has made it possible for them to know the steps to take and in these steps they will avoid somethings that will hinder them from achieving their goals because they are already aware that that thing is dangerous.

In my understanding about this, ignorance is bliss when we aren't aware of something that may turn our joy to sorrow, something that might even make us lose other opportunities if we are impatient. For example look at CBEX an investment platform that was trending more than one month again, it made some people temporarily heartbroken.

I used the term Temporarily because after the incident I heard numerous news that lost funds were recovered. Alot of people including me were totally ignorant about this platform until when it crashed, we were so surprised that alot of people have invested in it and we weren't even aware about that. Assuming we were aware we would have lost our money too because most of us would have also invested.

Even if funds were recovered truly, am sure some people must have made a big decision that must have ruined them by now after they discovered the platform crashed and now it has been restored when they have made a drastic decision already because of lost hope. Am also sure after that news some people committed suicide because they invested more than $1,000 in it. Ignorance sometimes, do help us and that is why everything has it's own advantage and disadvantage.

This is very dangerous, when we get the wrong information we won't be able to perform well in things related to it. Just like when a high school teacher sends wrong information to the students probably mistakenly or out of ignorance, through teaching and these students have already concluded that the teacher is right because they know the teacher knows alot.

When these students write an external exam and they see a question related to what their teacher taught them wrongly, they will answer it with what the teacher taught them and they will fail the exam especially if is a broad or compulsory question. Misinformation highly affects knowledge and it needs to be avoided at all cost.

I strongly agree with this because with knowledge we can be leaders, we can be confident of ourselves, courageous people don't lack knowledge, it is only coward people that lacks knowledge. With enough knowledge we can defend ourselves especially when it comes to our human rights. All images are mine.
