Contest!!! Your views about support in the Engagement challenges
This here is my entry for this amazing contest organized by @cryptoloover in the Hot News Community on the topic of "Your views about support in the Engagement challenges". Hope you enjoy it.
How many votes do you receive from Steem curators in engagement contests on average? |
---|
In life, generally, everyone needs all the support they can get to achieve their goals. This is no different from career, sports, business, and family.
Steemit user like all mentioned above wants the support of the bigger accounts to grow. Hence, wanting the upvotes of big accounts, resulting in bigger rewards. As much as it is stated that getting the upvotes of the big accounts is not guaranteed, it is the hope that kills us. The engagement challenges provide a prospect for Steemians to get upvotes from the curators in turn earning them higher rewards and also making them feel confident of themselves.
I've tried on my best to take part in the engagement challenges as much as I could every week. I must say my average upvotes from the curating teams as been minimal in recent seasons. Mostly from the community account and maybe, just maybe from the Curating teams 4-8, amounting to 2-3 upvotes in the range of $3-4 in amount. This is for season 9 so far, as I missed out on seasons 6 to 8 as I was offline.
Are you satisfied with the support that you get from the team? |
---|
To be honest, I'm not entirely satisfied with the support I'm getting from the engagements. At some point, I preferred community contests over engagement as I would score high grades, and spend time engaging others and yet those with lower grades get bigger support. Once again, it is always said big upvotes aren't guaranteed, I get it and I did enjoy it some seasons back (back in season 5) when it lasted. I think that the joy of seeing your work being appreciated is what I still hope for.
I am not blaming anyone at all, all I've known and learnt from the onset of joining this platform is that Hard work, Consistency and commitment to growth are the way forward and the big support we seek will certainly come with these ingredients. Thus, I am pleased with what I am getting from the curation teams and I want to work hard, maybe, just maybe I get to enjoy as the others do. Thank you to everyone behind the curation accounts, stay blessed.
What are some tips that newcomers can follow to get good support? |
---|
We were all newbies at some point on this journey, and there were certain things we did right to get us to where we are now. So from experience, I give out the following tips.
• Carry out all the achievement tasks if possible, but if not try to reach the 4th achievement task. After which you can take the rest in your free time.
• Consistency and Commitment is a key factor. One must show he or she is committed to growing one's Steem Power thus the need to join the various clubs from club5050, club75 and club100.
• Learn to avoid any form of plagiarism, from images to text or video. That is, use originally owned photos or copyright-free photos from Pexels, Pixabay, Freepik etc and if the information is gotten from any external source do well to reference the source.
• Learn to always produce quality content and be creative to make the content pleasing not only to the eyes but interesting to read also.
• Try as much as you can to in engaging with other Steemians by dropping noteworthy comments and upvoting their content.
• Try to participate in various community contests and the Diary Games to boost your chances of support.
• Do not forget to ask for assistance anywhere you find difficulty.
If you have any suggestions for the Steemit team then share them here. |

For all I know, the Steemit team is doing a great job as it is never easy to carry out the fishing for quality content over millions of users on this platform, that is why we are also encouraged to invest in our Steem Powers to assist them out.
To me, it's never easy to lead, as it is to whoever wears the crown that knows how heavy it can be. The more metals, the heavier. So in suggestions, I say keep up the good work you have been doing all this while. Thank you.
CONCLUSION |
---|
We all need the support of not just the curation teams but also ourselves to grow. Hence, I would encourage us to put in the work to grow our Steem Powers to help one another rather than leaving the whole work for the Curation teams.
I like to invite @gesikeme, @badmus-official and @starrchris.
NOTE: Always have a smile on your face, as you are never fully dressed without one.
