HELLO FRIENDS

Greetings my respectable steemians in this amazing community. I hope we are wonderfully well and also having a great day filled with nice tidings in all ramifications of life.

INTRODUCTION

Pets are a tremendous gift in anyone’s life. They are the only ones who love us wholly. They give everything they have without requiring anything in return. The primary purpose of every pet’s life is to make its master happy. Presently, humans prefer pets as kids thus, the term master is becoming obsolete. People see their pets as kids and themselves as parents and not masters or owners anymore. Modern civilization treats pets no less than they do humans. For example, they commemorate their birthdays; give them wonderful names, some even matching outfits and so much more.

I've always loved Dogs even though I felt uncomfortable with cats as to what the Hollywood horror movies deposits about them. That doesn't necessarily mean that I stare at dogs with a blush on my face, even though I think I've been guilty of that 2 - 3 times (I can't recall any more) Lol 😆 .

When I was 10 years old, my mum got me white when he was just a puppy. Her colleague's dog had just given birth to puppies and they agreed to give her one for friendship's sake. Little did I know, my life would be changed forever after his arrival.

I named him after his colour, he had an innocent childlike face, ocean blue eyes, silky velvety fur, hedgehog paws, a wagging cute tail and a tiny cuddly body. I just can't recall the sort of breed he was as I was young myself but I loved him anyway.

Little White came in as a blessing to my life as he was all I had when mum was off to work. I just couldn’t stop gushing over his beauty. Kids in my neighbourhood would practically fight with each other as to who will be granted maximum playing time with him.

Bathing him and brushing him nicely was a pleasing factor to me. I recall giving him his bow with his name on it. White loved it and would also wag his tail in warmth.

It was quite unfortunate White had to die a cruel death in a motor accident and ever since then, I haven't been able to have the guts to get another pet as I felt too attached to White and also responsible for his death🥺.

Before his untimely death😭, White certainly made me a better human being. He taught me what compassion was all about.

I did learn a lot of things from White. He defended me when am fast asleep at night. He always cheered me up whenever I am alone or sad. White's submission motivated me a lot to be kind to people around me.

Most times I wish we grew up together, as I still miss him, he was the closest thing to a best friend as we always had each other back.
