The most unfriendly front door in the hood

Nope, just nope

Okay, I admit it. It doesn't look hospitable. But I like clarity and I like to pass that on to humanity.

Just in time for Halloween 🎃

Of course children are always welcome to ring the bell. But I just don't feel like being bothered anymore by people who want to convince me of something. Or by people who play on your guilt and collect money. Do not get me wrong. Collectors are certainly doing useful work and deserve praise. That does not alter the fact that I find it extremely annoying to be disturbed by the doorbell with yet another rattling collection box and a good cause.

It has been proven that people generally donate to get a good feeling or to avoid feeling guilty

Every year I donate to the charities that I choose. And not with a few coins to change my sense of guilt, but with a reasonable amount of money.

Door to door sellers

But no matter how annoying I find the collectors, they do work for a good cause and I can ultimately respect that. But home to home sellers, they really have to stay away. What miserable people are they? They sell things to people who did not yet know they were going to buy it or needed it, but lost their money after the story at the door. Pretty clever how they get that done.

Believers shoving their faith in your face

And people who impose their faith on you are, if not, the most annoying people who come to your door. They are always religious people, who can of course believe what they want. But in this time it is no longer necessary to convince people at the door. Please skip my door.

Furthermore, everyone is welcome at my front door if you do not fall under the above categories.
