Today I would like to look at Acts 2 verse 38 to 39
38)Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
39)The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.”
We must move away from our sins if we want to receive salvation. We must move away from being self centered and turn to Jesus Christ. We must trust Him for forgiveness and mercy. We cannot save ourselves, only God can save us. Being baptized is proof that we want to identify ourselves with Jesus Christ.
