Arriving in the US
Having arrived in the US it was time to settle in to my hotel yesterday. You know, one of the thugs I really enjoy is the warmth of the people here. They will really give you some positive attention. So by the time I had finished checking in and had some food I already found myself having 4 or 5 nice conversations.
Today however will be different. The conference which I am attending will start in several minutes. It is filled with over 12 hours a day worth of subjects related to my job. My job is in road safety. What we do is we try and have people drive in as safe a manner as we can get them to.
In recent years this has had a lot to do with subjects like substance abuse behind the wheel or distraction. Both are really troublesome as one cannot properly drive a vehicle whilst either distracted or under the influence or even worse, both. Let’s see whether some of the best US researchers have found some solutions!
