Censors and Trolls
It seems like every day there are countless posts streaming through the New and Trending pages with complaints of censorship or someone who sunk thousands of dollars into STEEM just so they could power up and use their newfound power for evil by flagging everyone with something to say.

Just when reports of censorship and trolling was starting to get me down on Steemit, I found this exciting article on some really cool stuff that is in the works using the Steem block chain! Hundreds of third-party developers are starting to develop new and innovative apps using the Steem block chain! It just shows that a great community backed by a solid technology can win out over those that would try to tear it down! Check it out!

you cant have both, censorship or differing opinions aka trolls.

There will always be those that try, but the checks and balances built into Steemit and blockchain technology seem to have the best chance at fighting back! Thanks for your comment!

Good post, trolling and flagging will become less of an issue as the community expands. I note, however, a growing community concern over weighted voting. That is to say the fact that some people who were early adopters have much greater influence on rewards and payouts. This fact seems to dissuade newcomers, as it makes them feel second class citizens in a rigged voting system. Perhaps it is time to reconsider whether weighted voting remains beneficial to the community.

I definitely see it too! It's hard not to get discouraged by the infighting and it's so frustrating when someone with the power to make a positive change does nothing and so much worse when they use their influence to push out people who are trying to contribute but maybe don't quite yet understand the unwritten rules of the community. I am still holding out hope that things will continually improve as long as the platform keeps attracting the best people! Anything the developers and early adopters can do to persuade the right people to come aboard will make the biggest difference in the long run. Thanks for commenting!
