[Steemfest⁴] Who are the Steemians who will be at Steemfest with their kiddo ?
Bringing our family across the world !
Traveling with kids brings them a lot of curiosity and it make them discover the world. It's the best present to do to your kids... as we talked with @detlev: "we don't need a big car, but plenty of souvenirs by traveling and spending time together!".
Also, it's the self-confidence the kids will gain by traveling (by facing new situations, dealing with the unknow) : it's a beautiful and important gift to do to your kid !
Not to mention the openness to the world, which is very important in this period of the world when fascism and the extreme right are gaining momentum all over the world.
So... Challenging the habits of your daily lives will allow the family to discover another world!
Never think twice before traveling with your kids !
Steemfest with kids ?

Last year, there where the @hilarski team who bring their lill' baby boy, he was the youngest !
@lukestokes and @misslasvegas also came with their family. And if I remember well, there were another baby aged of one or two. Oh and I shouldn't forget the soooo cute little girl of @noisy !
This year, I heard that severals Steemiam are coming again with their kids.
For example,
@misslasvegas is coming with her three kids aged of 11, 10 and 5 !
@olga.maslievich will be there with her 9 year old girl
@lukestokes will be also with his three kids !
@roelandp with his two kiddos too :)
And who else ?
I would love to know who is bringing his/her child and what are you planning to do in Bangkok ? Who is taking care of them when you will be at the conference ? And what about doing a family-day all together ?
A Steemfest Kids-Friendly next year ?
And why not create a "welcome children's space" at SF5?
Travelling with our children is a real pleasure, so why deprive yourself of it? Why should parents who come to Steemfest leave their child with a nanny outside the conference? Or worst, at home !
If there is a space dedicated to children, perhaps it could motivate other Steemien to participate?
But for this to happen, it is obviously necessary that the children are welcomed in good conditions. With, for example, adapted activities, specially prepared meals for babies, changing areas, baby bottles, baby accessories available, etc.
Well, maybe I'm dreaming, but I'm sure it's possible with volunteer parents-steemians taking turns!
What do you think of that?
In our society, children (from restaurants, conferences, exhibitions, etc.) are excluded from cultural and social life and by default, women are excluded.
By the way, I wonder what percentage of women are present at Steemfest....
Love to come with the family, but there is school and this means, we are not allowed to take the kids away from there. :-(
Means I got a damn long list of stuff to bring home.... ;-)
But we where traveling in Thailand for a month with kids this year and this was so much fun.
You should start unschooling as Luke and Miriam ;-)
Actually sometimes I think that way, as schools teach different stuff today.
But this is a big and not easy step.

I'm impressed, I thought only Venezuelans or Latinas had so many children.
Interesting to see that in other countries children are also raised.
The average is currently having one or two. My parents three or four and my grandparents had five to ten children.

before kid, find a wife. (That is pretty hard in the crypto space ;D) - have fun in Bangkok - hope no kid gets sick!
Fabulous idea, I was going to be in Bangkok tomorrow if everything went as planned. Unfortunately I won't be there. If next year there will be an area for children, it will be easier for me I think. This was one of these trips that I would have loved to share with my boyfriend and daughter, not experience alone.. so it would motivate me a lot more to know there is something where the children can play during conferences ;) Enjoy SF :)
