Pottery Museum in Mersin
There are a lot of museums in Turkey because Turkey goes back to ancient history even to the Bronze age.
Mersin is a small town near the Mediterranean coast.
Near the town center, you will find a little Museum displaying pottery artificats and what life was like on the sea for the ancient people.
The archeologists dug up a lot of ancient potteries in this area.
These were used to store wine, perfume, etc.
Some of the larger vessels were used to store water.
You can actually get close to the displays to see these artifacts closely without the window pane barrier.
There are some art murals of their life on the Mediterranean Sea.
In the outdoor garden, you see some well preserved big vessels also.
