# 452 - Koalas - Part 3
Today I will show you the Koala silver bullion series. As I have all of them, you will know all the series.
The Perth Mint started this series in 2007 and since then they are issuing a yearly different coin.
These coins are $1 AUS, weighting 1oz with 99.9% silver purity and with Brilliant Uncirculated finish.
The first is a 2011 $1 AUS showing a mother koala and cub sitting on a tree branch. Its mintage was 910,480 units.
The second is a 2012 $1 AUS showing an adult koala sleeping on the branch of a eucalyptus tree. Its mintage was 388,046 units. This year were minted 9,302 Proof High Relief units.

My favourite of the koalas is the Nocturnal Koala with almost a glow in it's eyes before a full moon. What? There's no such coin? Oh the I'm still waiting for that one to come out. Did I mention the fangs?
You are talking about the Vampire Koala. I read somewhere that next year's coin will depict it.
