Today I will show you two coins with the same theme: Chinese Traditions.
The first is a 2012 $.50 from Australia. It is the Lunar Year Series II - Year of the Dragon.
It weights 15,59g (.5oz) with 99.9% silver purity and Colorized Proof finish. Its mintage was 10,000 units.
The reverse shows a colorized dragon, with the Chinese symbol for dragon at the right.

It weights 7.96g with 99.99% silver purity and Matte Proof finish. Its mintage was 30,000 units.
The reverse shows a Chinese stylized lion.
The obverse shows a bust of Queen Elizabeth II designed by Susanna Blunt.

I have lots of Asian neighbors not just Chinese, reason i have a good assortment of chinese themed coin to trade with in a SHTF situation. Interesting than the number 4 is a bad number among Chinese which is phonetically similar to the Chinese word for death, whereas 8 is the most favorable number. But 444?
Coincidence, the article number was not planned. My elder daughter lives in Toronto (North York), where the Korean community lives. In her building, there is no 4th or 14th floor...
