Today I wanna share information about Instrument and Music Traditional Bali.

'Traditional Balinese music' has resemblance with traditional #music in a lot diferent areas in Indonesia, Example in the use of 'gamelan and various other percussion instruments'. However, there are peculiarities in the techniques of play and composition, for example in the form of kecak, a form of singing supposedly mimic the sound of apes. Various gamelan characteristic is, for example, "jegog gamelan, gamelan gong gede, gambang gambang, gamelan selunding and gamelan Semar Pegulingan". There is also Angklung music played for Ngaben ceremony as well as Bebonangan music played in various other ceremonies.

There is a modern form of '#Balinese "traditional music", such as 'Gamelan Gong Kebyar' which is a dance music developed during the "Dutch colonial" era' and "Joged Bumbung" became popular in #Bali 'since the 1950s era'. Generally Balinese music is a combination of various metal percussion instruments (metalofon), gongs and wood percussion. Due to the social, political and cultural relationships, traditional Balinese music or Balinese gamelan games influence or influence each other's cultural areas, such as traditional music of Banyuwangi and traditional music of Lombok society.

Traditional Balinese Traditional #Music instruments commonly used are Ceng-Ceng, Genggong, Pereret, Rindik, Balinese Gamelan. Here are Bali Traditional #Musical Instruments;

Ceng-Ceng

Ceng-ceng is a music consisting of 2 pieces of cymbals made of metal, played in a way banged against each other, like clapping hands. Rindik

Rindik made of bamboo with selendro tone and played by beating. This instrument is usually played by 2-5 players, where 2 people beat Rindik and the rest for flute and gong pulu. There are five basic tones possessed by Rindik. At first rindik was only made as a tool to entertain the farmers in the fields. Rindik also commonly used as musical accompaniment entertainment people 'Joged Bumbung'. However, along with the times, now Rindik is more flexible in its use. Some of them are as a complement to the wedding / reception and can also to welcome guests.

Genggong

Genggong is one of the unique vibrating instruments that are increasingly rarely known to people. Genggong is made from sugar palm frond which is tied with rope. The sound of this instrument is quite unique and interesting like the sound of a frog that bersahutan. High sounds are called gangs, and low voices are called gongs.

Pereret

Pereret is an ancient musical instrument from Bali a kind of trumpet made of wood. This instrument is mostly made in Jembrana, Bali. Usually this instrument is used to accompany the art of Sewo Gati. How to play it is by blowing the pointed part

Gamelan Bali

Balinese gamelan is one of the types of gamelan that exist in Indonésia. This gamelan has a difference with Javanese gamelan that is wilah shape (blades on saron) is thicker, form of pencon (gamelan form like bonang) more than wilah, rhythm is faster.

Balinese gamelan is called by detail and the following are the names of Balinese gamelan: Jiyèng, Gangsé, Jigog, Jublak, Gong, Kenong, Kethuk, Cèng-cèng (Truck), Kendhang, Gendèr, Suling.
