WOW, MACAU!!!
When we went to Hong Kong we allotted a day to visit Macau. It's basically an hour ride on a Ferry from Hong Kong. We rode the Cotai Jet Ferry for PHP 1,175 that's already a round trip ticket. We've booked it via Klook as well.
This is how it looks inside. You may get dizzy at first but later on it gets steadier.
Upon arriving we boarded the bus going to City of Dreams. There are numerous buses for different hotels you can ride on for free. They even gave us some flyers, coaster and this cute key chain for free.
It's almost a 30 minutes ride and I am in awe with its architecture we pass by. The building are just so modern and classy looking.
When we arrived in the City of dreams we were welcomed by this talking robot. Though it's not programmed to speak in English it's still a very interesting sight.
We took the time to take some photos in this beautiful wing like lights.
Then we explored the neighboring buildings. Just a few blocks away is The Venetian. The building looks like the ones you see in Venice Italy standing in the center of this huge lake.
The lobby even have these beautiful paintings.
Upon entering this golden scenic hallway I was speechless. It's so elegantly made and such an amazing masterpiece.
Even the rest room looks luxurious.
Inside there's a canal just like in Venice, Italy and a painted blue sky in the ceiling. It looks so real and the shops are like small houses inside this big building. It looks like you are skipping from one country to another by each turn.
And who would forget to try their delicious egg tarts, for 10 HKD each or PHP 60. These yummy treats are to die for. Best eaten while super hot and still soft. :)
Then we preceeded to The Parisian, where a mini Eiffel tower stands.
Not this one though. :D
But that one.
As we searched for the exit and go on another location we passed by this busy casino. There are a lot of machines and people gambling.
Then we rode another bus going to Grand Emperor and then we walked until we reached the Ruins of St. Paul's.
"Built from 1602 to 1640[1] by the Jesuits, the church is one of the largest Catholic churches in Asia at the time. The ruins now consist of the southern stone façade—intricately carved between 1620 and 1627 by Japanese Christians in exile from their homeland and local craftsmen under the direction of Italian Jesuit Carlo Spinola—and the crypts of the Jesuits who established and maintained the church. The façade sits on a small hill, with 68 stone steps leading up to it. The carvings include Jesuit images with Oriental themes, such as The Blessed Virgin Mary stepping on a seven-headed hydra, described in Chinese characters as 'Holy Mother tramples the heads of the dragon'. A few of the other carvings are of the founders of the Jesuit Order, the conquest of Death by Jesus, and at the very top, a dove with wings outstretched."
After that we roamed around Senado Square.
Also as we head back to the Grand Emperor Building where we will take the bus back to COD and back to ride the Ferry, we passed by a market that offers a lot of items like meat, soap, egg tarts and even stuffed toys.
We were almost full because of the free taste that they offered as we pass by.
Then we saw more divine buildings such as these.
It's just a shame that we cannot stay until night time because we are schedules to go to another destination so we had to go back to Hong Kong.
They say Senado square is a such a sight at night.
Anyway maybe I can see it next time. Next stop Victoria peak. Thanks for dropping by and watch out for the next one. :)
