”On a Finding Nemo trip, the first thing I came across was Keraken.”
-Me (when mostly imagination)

When I first arrived in Sabang and learned that there were so many destinations to visit, I felt like I was presented with so many choices that none of them could be turned down. But with a firm resolve, I convinced myself that Finding Nemo would remain a priority. And since it was a priority, there was no need to rush. I have time for that. So, let's enjoy each one that this island has to offer us.

The ferry that we used to cross arrived in Sabang when it was noon. It was almost lunch time. The food menu on this island is actually no different from the food menu at my place. But for some types of food, this island is very famous for its specialty. One of them is Warung Mie Sedap. You can google it. But unfortunately, when we got there, the stall was closed. And I can't tell you about that yet. I'm sorry, maybe next time I'll tell you the taste.

After a simple lunch at a restaurant, we went around looking for lodging. Basically, there's nothing that makes it difficult for you to stay in Sabang. Even too many lodging options that we can choose. The choice depends on whether you want to be close to which tourist destination and depending on the funds we have prepared. Everything else is easy.

When we arrived at the inn, it was still noon and the sun was quite bright in the sky. We basically have no plans to keep the sun's heat off our skin. We didn't mind with that, because we went on vacation to the beach and the sea. So it makes no sense to hide from the sun. However, we chose to take a short break at the inn with the plan that when it was late in the afternoon we would go to the Sabang Culinary Park. Because Sabang Culinary Park has just opened and is crowded in the afternoon.

After resting for a while, recovering energy and charging the cellphone, we headed to the Sabang Culinary Park. The location of the Culinary Park with where we were staying was not too far and not too close either. We chose to take a leisurely walk without rushing while enjoying the beautiful view of the sea and beach. The dancing coconut trees indicate the wind is quite strong but still safe. The sound of the waves echoing seems to keep the rhythm so that the island is never completely silent even though Sabang is not a crowded place on the streets. All of them play their part in keeping this island alive. And I can go deeper if I enjoy this atmosphere.

When I arrived at the location, my super narcissistic friends influenced me to capture the moment. I can't count how many times they've changed poses in one spot. Unfortunately they were the best of friends who were easy to go on vacation with, so they were forgivable, even though I almost went crazy for it.

The best part about this Culinary Park is the food. There are many options to try. But this time I only focus on something that is very rare in other places, except Sabang.

If you've ever followed the adventures of Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean, or the Straw Hat Pirates in the One Piece Manga by Eichiro Oda, I'm sure you know about a monster called the Kraken. Kraken is a giant sea creature that is terrible and very feared by sailors. In European Nordic folklore, the Kraken is described as the largest sea monster imaginable by human. And in Scandinavian mythology the Kraken is said to have appeared off the coast of Norway.

The most common description of the Kraken is an octopus with a very large size. But for me, no matter how big a sea creature is, it's still sea food.

And in fact, octopus is a very common food to eat. Especially in Sabang. In fact, one of the mainstay menus on this island that is offered to tourists is Sate Octopus.

Likewise with this Culinary Park, among the many types of food here, one of the most popular is Sate Octopus. So, I will feel incomplete on vacation to Sabang if I don't eat the very famous Sate Octopus.

I'm not going to tell you how delicious octopus meat is grilled over charcoal and eaten with a special sauce. You have to try it yourself. Come here and find out for yourself how delicious it is to eat. I dare you to that. But I will tell you something else. When I ate it, I felt like I was talking to the supposedly invincible Kraken; Hey Kraken, I beat you, and I eat you.

Thanks for being my reader.
Love you guys.
