A blockchain named Steem
That long awaited dream
A glimpse of what the internet could be
Opening realms of infinite possibility
A social media mainframe
Plugged into a decentralised blockchain
With superior cryptocurrencies
And zero transaction fees
The blockchain goes beyond Steemit
Our imagination is the limit
To the moon and to the stars
A quick bite to eat on mars
But before we look up to outer space
We must remember we are in a race
Competing with old repressive regimes flushed with money trees
And superior-marketed inferior-technologies
They want us to fail
They cannot believe what we have is real
But I know we're going to win, no maybe
Because I know Steem is still a baby
It's growing at incredible pace
And we've got its back until it wins this race
That long awaited dream
